I would love to work with families prenatally to get pumping plans developed, but I know that is not always the case. If I work with families early postpartum then we develop an early intervention plan that if you are not increasing milk supply by 4-6 week postpartum then we bring in your doctor into the plan for testing to identify if there are underlying conditions present.
If interested in a early intervention pumping plan because you are not making enough milk for baby by 4-6 weeks then you have a plan to take with you to your doctor for your 6 week check-up to find out if an underlying condition is present.
Also, please know that an intervention plan can be developed in a premier pumping consult at any point in your journey (even after 6 weeks), it is never too late to try.
